Spring 2006
This project is an attempt to bridge micro and macro levels of information when considering our solar system*. Its vast distances, and the relative sizes of the celestial bodies within it, are difficult to imagine on their own scale. This model uses the familiar scale of the united states as a grounding point for comprehension. With the scale set, relative sizes can be understood.
*This project was completed on May 4th, 2006, before the landmark decision in Jerks v Pluto had set it precedent.
